Obama authorizes munitions, arms to extremist groups in Syria

WASHINGTON, Oct. 06 (MNA) – With the approval of supplying munitions and arms to alleged moderate groups in Syria, the US president Barack Obama promotes more violence in that nation of The Levant, said world political experts.

According to the New York Times, with this step the White House aims to put more pressure against the so-called ISIL, though different analysis highlight how easy Washington considers the existence of good and bad terrorists.

The step made by the US is also seen as a response to Russia's joining to bombings against terrorist groups' bastions and logistic centers, except that Moscow acts at the request of Syria's constitutional government and the international coalition acts disregarding the UN and international law.

Obama ordered the Pentagon for the first time to directly provide munitions and arms to the so-called Syrian position forces in the terrain and also backed the idea of an increase of air strikes from Incirlik, a base in Turkey, though important details are still to be solved, reported the Times.

The White House's initiative is allegedly aimed at putting pressure on Raqqa, the main ISIL bastion in Syria, with the deployment of tens of western coalition warplanes and between 3000 and 5000 Arab fighters in the terrain, though it is not specified if they are mercenaries or Syrians.

That force, trained by US advisers, will join the more than 20,000 Kurdish fighters in the offensive.
